The vision of developing a school was a long time dream of the founder and Director, Ng’iela, Moses Bwana.
The question had only been where to do it. Kudos to my nephew Ammy Odiero Bakker for the relentless effort in following up and eventually negotiating with Dr Owuor to sell to us the piece of land where the school stands today.
We held a dedication prayer by Pastor Richard Ayieko on the 18th of December 2011 under the landmark mango tree within the school farm. Present at the fucntion were the Directors of MOAD, Mr Moses Ng’iela and Mrs Jackline Adongo, Effie-Norah Akinyi (their daughter), Pastor Richard Ayieko, Ev. John Onyango, and Eld Moses Amuka.
The construction of the school thereafter started on 14 January 2012 by Manywanda Construction Limited with Maj (Rtd) Erastus Onyango Nyamori.
The construction of the tuition block was fairly completed and ready for use by December 2012. We officially opened the doors for admission on 8 January 2013, with a dedication prayer done by Pr Samuel Oyier, the District Pastor of Tonye SDA Church, accompanied by The Church Elders of Kanyadgiro SDA Church, Mr Barrack Onyango Ngáni and Mama Mary Arogo.
